Since I was a child, I’ve had an overly idealistic idea of what Japan is like. When I went over there to meet my girlfriend, I was prepared for it to not live up to my lofty expectations.

It was truly lifechanging.

After repeating myself in many words over and over again, it’s time to put to “paper” a definitive explanation of how to learn a language, so I can link people directly here instead of typing it all over again.

Part one out of a probable one. A lot to say about a small script by a beginner. This script does some web scraping and variable juggling to present the user with a quiz on various chosen topics.

The world has gone mad. One can no longer have a casual conversation with friends without fear of social retribution for the grand crime of being offensive, the arbiters of which see themselves as so good.
